About
I grew up in the north-west of the UK, on the Wirral before living in Durham, Liverpool, Manchester, Edinburgh and I’ve worked in the creative industries for over 10 years, in theatre, libraries, literary organisations, festivals, visual art, and collaborative multi-partner projects.
Here you’ll see an array of the work I’ve done on many projects over the years, from StoryShop to Future DiverCities, from the British Council to Kickstarter campaigns.
A writer and avid reader, I am always looking to be swept away to a new world, immersed in a new story. My love of reading, particularly genre fiction, has led me to work with some wonderful book festivals, bookshops, conventions and more. I am a member of the British Fantasy Society, British Science Fiction Association and a trustee for Cymera Festival.
“I am happiest when I am playing with words, finding the story within them and what they want to share.”
Alongside my project consultancy, I lecture at The University of the West of England, Bristol, in media production, project management, marketing and communications, and the UK creative industries. My research is creative-practice led, exploring independence and autonomy within collaborative storytelling, drawing on genre fiction, publishing models and role-playing games.
